Ugh, becoming a part of the mental health system in the US is extremely difficult. It seems that once it grabs hold of you it doesn't like to let go. I'm having an extremely tough time for the past 3 months following a CT withdrawal.

I went back to work for 8 days after missing almost 2 months, and I totally lost my mind on my way into work this Monday morning.

The problem is that I'm back to square one. Unable to work and an emotional disaster I am almost confined to the bedroom again. Back on the wagon I guess. This sucks.

Unfortunately, three months isn't very long after a c/t off benzos.  Healing from a c/t often takes much longer than that. But these symptoms will go away in time.

Could you please add a signature?  Here's how:

Adding a brief description of your benzo history and current dosage, and updating it as you taper is extremely helpful to both moderators and buddies who want to keep up to date with your details. This will allow us to much better help and advise you. It can become quite difficult to sift through old posts looking for pertinant information.

To do this, Click on 'Profile' then 'Account Settings', Then 'Modify Profile', in the drop-down list click 'Forum Profile'. From that page, scroll down almost to the bottom and type in your info in the Signature box. Make sure and click 'Change Profile' at the bottom. And that's it!

I've had those moments, too, and I'm about three months since my rapid detox, too. Do you struggle with OCD? I have always had intrusive thoughts, but nothing like what I have experienced during this withdrawal. It clearly sounds like you have the presence of mind to do what you need to do take care of yourself. I'm sorry about your work situation and your temptation to stay in your bedroom. It sounds like you're in a wave. These come and go for me too. I'm currently coming out of a wave, though I would not say I'm in a window. It just that life is manageable right now, and I haven't "lost my mind" in a couple of weeks. This will pass!
