Hi I really need guidance and advice. Heres my story

I have been taking klonopin 0.5 mg for two years I went to my doctor and she decided take me off. She said id been on it long enough. I asked her would I have withdrawls she said no because I was on such a low dose that it wouldn't bother me. So now I am 6 days since my last dose. First 3 days I had bad insomnia anxiety and internal tremors. Today 9/14\17 I am having tingling feelings all over and brain fog like I have too think hard sometime or my words get backwards it really odd just wanna know is this normal. I have came off this cold turkey and am so afraid of seizures or dying God is the only one helping me!! I just wan someone to help me and let me know if the tingling and brain fog is normal for withdrawl and how much longer I can expect this. I've heard some say it gets worse at week 2 some say it gets better within 2 weeks. I never took no more than 1. Pill at 0.5 mg a day . thanks to anyone who answers❤❤❤

None of this sounds unusual. I think you're doing rather well...although varying degrees of hell is still hell. Your doctor either lied to you or is an idiot.(((Hugs))). You will get better slowly just stay in the present and try to focus on the symptoms.

Oops.. I meant to try NOT to focus on the symptoms.

Tingling, brain fog, internal tremors, anxiety, and insomnia are all hallmark symptoms of benzo withdrawals. As Liandre said, it sounds like you are doing fairly well for six days. Seizures are exceptionally rare, especially if you haven't had one before. I'd try not to worry about those sorts of things and focus on one hour at a time. You are brave, and you will heal! Much love.

As the other posters have said, you're doing okay, Lulu, the symptoms you've mentioned are all very much to be expected.  And they will begin to subside with some more time.

Seizures are rare, but they get a lot of attention because the thought of a seizure is scary.  You're likely past the point of having to worry about a seizure now.

It's unfortunate (to say the least) that your new doctor cold turkeyed you from longterm benzodiazepine use.  I'd be looking for another doctor if that happened to me.  She's either uneducated about benzodiazepines or she's heartless.  Just my opinion.

Hi everyone.

I am doing okay I'm 9 days benzo free. Still have the pins and needle feeling in my hands legs around my mouth and sometimes my head. I have been able to sleep okay about 5-6 hrs a night. I've been eating good . I would be great if I didn't have the numbness/pin and needle feeling . I have some occasional anxiety . I am just worried that this tingling n numb feelings won't leave. Don't the symptoms of wd get worse around week 2 . the only thing that's helped me is lots of prayer and making peace with God. He's helped me through it all. This is terrifying and couldn't have been doing it without Jesus❤ love you all.
