Need slow taper advice to get down from last 2mg of Valium-bad relapse at 0mg

Hi:

I got all the way down to 2MG of Valium, sometimes even 1MG, but when I dropped to zero the sh*t hit the fan after about 10 days. I was fine for first week, felt great, energy back but had a little fog and denationalization- thought I'd be ok, really assumed after a long taper that I might be out to the woods. But then around day 7 symptoms started getting worse and last night it came roaring back- woke up in full blown panic attack, super loud sudden ringing in one ear. It was chaos. So I took a 2mg pill and all cleared up in a few hours.

Options seem to be stay on the benzo and feel tired and completely apathetic to life or get off and deal with absolute hell.

Anyone have suggestions for a super slow taper at 2mg that might make this easier?

Hi Dinopass

When you say slow taper

Can you give us an idea what dose you started on and your details on how you tapered

It's possible you went to fast. I think there are others on the forum that are more experienced than me.

Ive been doing a slow taper myself and just started to get down to 3.25 today

Just remember your not in it alone and I'm sure someone will have some valuable input on whether or not you tapered too fast

You may need to hold at 2mg if you feel ok on that dosage for a while then try  a real slow taper again. I think most people suggest to taper by 5 percent there current dosage for 10 to 14 days before going to the next cut.

Let me know and hopefully we can taper together

Just hang in there I'm sure you can do it
