I've never tried this before, my fiancé got me the GNC 750mg GABA capsules.

Anything I should worry about? I want to try it for sleep.

It's very poorly transported across the blood/brain barrier, so it may not do much for you.  That's probably a good thing.  I imagine it would be abused if it had much of an effect when taken orally.  Personally, I tried to avoid strong GABAgeric foods/supplements during my withdrawal.

I think I'll just stick with my omega 3's.

And vit c every other day.

I know one of my friends tried it and reacted badly. I would say start off with a really small dose to see how it goes. As an aside I found that broccoli stalks reduce the amount of glutamate that is running rapid in our bodies right now as a result of our gaba being lowered. Just thought I would mention it.

Hope you are doing well

They it's not the gaba that's missing. Its gabareceptors not working!

Yes gaba receptors being down for the count is what I meant.

It is not glutameate. When your GABA receptors are messed up they surge up and down your muscles tracts.

I need to find the article I read regarding this again. Will post it here when I do.

taking gaba only delays healing.  although i agree that it does not cross the blood brain barrier.  there is a form - pharma gaba that does.  but at the end of the day - if you are putting gaba into your system - the body will not start to rebuild the receptors ..... that is what makes this such a long process..... there is no way to short cut it
