My doctor gave me a piss test today

Im taking .125mgs of clonazapam a day.  Is it going to show up in my urine with that low of a dose.  I need it to or they will pull me off of it

I think it will show up. Depends on how good the lab is and what they are looking for.

I think it depends on the lab.  I have never taken a pee test so can't be sure.

I can't imagine how they would ever be able tell what dosage you are on.  Everyone metabolizes the drug differently with some people having some in their systems months later and some people have nothing detectable in just days.

  I have to have them for Pain management and they do measure your levels.  I would imagine if you are way out of the parameters of where you should be at your dose it will raise a flag.  There probably is a range.  I take my meds as prescribed so all is well and GP knows I'm tapering so they aren't concerned with the valium, just my painkiller.  Hope it turns out good and glad you have some stockpiled.  It also depends on what type of test but if it was sent to lab then I would say your Dr. might say something to you.

  IDK about that.  They do check the metabolites so if you just missed one dose I would imagine it wouldn't show up too much but if you have tapered down as much as he has it will show he is taking much less than 1 mg. of K.

  Don't forget I'm not an expert, I only know what it shows on my urine test and it breaks down all the metabolites of each controlled med you are on and the levels.  So I would surmise they can tell approx. what dose you are taking, give or take a little.

Well if the pull me off i have stocked up.  I have 300 .5mg pills which is plenty for my taper

I'm curious too - what was the outcome? (did i miss it scrolling???)

 

But especially because i wanted to weigh in - i had a urine test show NEGATIVE for clonazepam while i had been on 1- 1.5 mg/day for a few days - even the nurse/doctor was puzzled.  (I tried to get an MD's help through an addiction centre but i'm not an addict so that didn't work (they will only see addicts)...but they did talk to me and part of the process was a piss test which i obliged - everything was negative...which i knew it would be..except...the benzo!!! lol. that was odd)

 

I really think everyone metabolizes these drugs differently - different rates and into different metabolites - and do all drug tests for test the same metabolites? (I have no idea)

I think you're asking if it will show up at all, as opposed to the concentration, correct? If so, I can't say for sure, but if I had to put money on it, I'd say that yes, it would show up.
