I don't actually think we can access the full article unless we want to purchase it. Only a few articles can be seen in full for free. Those who have access to medical libraries may be able to track down full articles, but the rest of us would likely have to pay.

So, don't feel like a nerd! I'm a nerd too!

It still appears to be just the abstract. I believe it's the same with her earlier paper.

you have to press download pdf for the full papers on research gate I think.

Thanks a lot magga! Very interesting article. I've accessed the full paper via research gate. The message is a bit disappointing though...the authors present the findings like a "curiosity" instead of a tragic reality. At least in my understanding...

A sociologist's perspective, I guess. By the way, I came across this film clip which was very interesting on BZ withdrawal : http://www.asprescribedfilm.com

Hi magga,

There's been much discussion around here about this yet-to-be-released film. It should be excellent, but as far as I know, it's not yet finished. The filmmaker (Holly Hardman) drops in here from time to time, but I haven't seen any updates lately.

Thanks Magga!

The paper is especially significant I think as one of the authors went through w/d herself.  Really shows how little research and actual support there is in the world for something that is so routinely prescribed and causes such dire results! Thanks Lapis!

Thanks for posting the paper by Alison Fixsen and Damien Ridge.  I wasn't aware it had been published.  I haven't managed to read it all yet but will do so.  It takes me a while.  I have emailed Alison and asked for a copy though the published draft is probably close to the final version.
