muscle/ joint aches and pains after 6 months off

As the title says, I am now 6 months off of klonopin and still have some symptoms remaining, tinnitus, some anxiety and fatigue etc. but over the last few weeks I seem to have got a lot more muscle and joint pain, sometimes it feels like my leg and arm bones are aching as well and was wondering if anyone else had this situation. I have had so many things happen to me during my taper and after that I am now pretty sure it is benzo related but a little update from others who have been through and hopefully got over this would be appreciated.

Hi 2trusting,

I get this too and believe it's benzo related or what's called the "benzo flu".  Sure can feel like a flu bug but, seems to come and go...soooo frustrating but, I believe it will go away like so many of these other crazy withdrawal symptoms.  Congratulations on being 6 months off klonopin  :)

I am dealing with that right now. The fatigue and weakness are bad enough, but the joint pain is brutal. Right now dealing with horrible hip pain. Feels like there is a stake impaling my left hip.

Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'm seven months out and dealing with the same problem. My muscles are constanltly tight and achy, especially in the neck and upper back. The intensity seems to vary day by day, sort of in a semi-windows and waves pattern. Some days it feels like I have deep aches down to the bone, other days it's just a little stiff. Heat and exercise helps.

Neck and upper back soreness and tightness here as well at 6+ months out.  Too many of us with the same symptoms for this not to be benzo wd.

Best,

Ed
