dropped from 0,145 Lorezapam to 0,05 at once feeling bad after 6 days...

Hi,

I 've been on 0.145 mg Lorazapam since Octobre (tapering very slowly up until then - started on it January 2016 around 0,5 mg /day).

I've been dealing with getting stable from a depression through trauma therapy and Antidepressants. From May I started to feel better and better and this summer I went on a long vacation where I found myself not having enough Lorazepam. So on my vacation I dropped from 0,145 mg daily to 0,05 at once and like 6 days after reducing the dosage I've started to slowly feeling worse again. Thought since I was feeling so stable with therapy and A/D s again I wasn't going to feel anything from that drop.

So now I'm confused whether if starting back on therapy after 3 weeks and coming back to "normal" life is the reason for feeling bad again or if it could be the fast decrease on Lorazapam? It definitely feels very different than before cutting the dosage, it's like back to depressed and feeling very scared and catastrophic alike again!

Could it be the Lorazepam drop? Should I go up in dosage and go slower, and with how much in that case? Any ideas?? I don't like this feeling, was doing so incredibly well before. Grateful for any inputs!

I think it's the size of the cut.  You cut 2/3rds of your dose.  That's a huge cut.  If you think therapy will be sufficient to get you back on your feet, then hold your dose and go for it.  You could try up-dosing, but there is no guarantee that it will help you.

Thanks a lot for your reply! I decided not to increase my dose, just wait it out. I've also noticed the thing I've read about Benzo withdrawal, it goes up and down. For a moment I feel shit and then the next moment I'm ok again. :D So patience! Happy I'm soon off this shit!

Good to hear that you get some breaks from the withdrawal symptoms.  You're close to being done with this stuff.  Some people jump from 0.05mg.  Don't rush it, however.  Give yourself enough time to recover from that last cut.

Maybe focus on your beautiful vacation.  Put some pictures up around the house and recall how wonderful it is to be on vacation.  Much Love :)
