last week n a half of taper, losing motivation

Hello everyone.

I haven't posted in a few months, I've been trying to get my life back on track after my GP really messed me up and forced me to see a psychiatrist, which has been most pleasant.

After stabilizing me and transitioning me to Valium, I've been on a 2mg cut weekly for 10 weeks.

I'm approaching my last week and up until now, everything has been fine.

I'm finishing up 4mg daily and Sunday I begin 2mg daily which I will then drop off completely after a week.

Two days ago I started having progressively aggressive anxiety, thankfully no panic attacks (yet), not like the ones I was having when I was initially going through WD's. For the most part, it's just a feeling of unrest/nervousness with the addition to changes to my body temp with spikes and drops to my blood pressure.

What's even worse is that the facility that I was seeking counsel from no longer employ's my psychiatrist (they hire/let go psychiatrists based on insurance coverage).

Now, I feel a bit alone...

I moved to a new state during this entire transition (pre-psychiatrist) and I don't know anybody nor do I have anybody to turn to.

I'm really starting to lose motivation and the "I'm getting worse, I'm never getting better" is really starting to settle in. It was fine throughout this entire taper, but these last two weeks are really hitting me hard - emotionally and psychologically (withdrawals)... I'm starting to panic, thinking about all of the possible WD symptoms I initially encountered when I was essentially cut CT by my GP and I don't want to go through that again...

I suppose I'm just looking for a bit reassurance.

I hope that the rest of you going through this process are holding strong and acknowledge how brave you are for doing so.

I apologize in advance if this post seems a bit attention aggressive.

That's a pretty fast taper but you seem to be doing ok. You're so close now. It will get better, just takes time. Unfortunately there's no way to rush it. Sending you good thoughts!
