Outside of acute sx, is anyone feeling a lot better? I haven't seen any success stories lately so wanted to poll the community. Please provide detail if you have time.

Nooooooo ! still feel like crap !  I don't have waves I have tsunamis (tidal waves).

Everyday is rough ! Don't know if it's worth going through....how long will this last?

I've gotten better with some sxs but still struggling greatly w others.  Especially mood & pain.

Yes, definitely. I'm a week away from 10 months.

I'm not sure what to say, other than that things are going more or less exactly as they are outlined in the Ashton manual. I still have waves, but they are getting weaker and further apart. Anxiety is slowly diminishing. Sensitivities seem to be improving somewhat. The only trick I have is just keeping myself busy or occupied all of the time. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I fell off a cliff somewhere around nine months off, I think - but just after the one-year mark I got a sudden shift.

Off fourteen months now, and making amazing progress - decent sleep, no anxiety, improving energy.

The big thing was getting my own personality back. My family really noticed that. They look so happy.  I feel so happy. ;D

All the good stuff is headed your way too - you'll see.

Yes, I am! Not sure if it helps but I stopped taking K just over two years ago. I still have a few things here and there but otherwise I feel like I am back to my old self. I haven't written a success story yet but do know we're out here!

it will get better  :smitten: one day you wake up and do things you haven't done for weeks, without even realizing it. then theres again a setback and you feel like you've reached nothing, but keep in mind how far you've come.

at 10 months my psychological symptoms are very very mild. some facial pain, neck pain and dizziness are still here. (what isn't quite a lot when you think of all the listed symptoms, i had them all)

Yes, I'm recovered and back to my good old self.

BB's, I.O.U a success story...

Yes, I am getting slowly better, just a few symptoms left now.  :)

The feeling of heat in my back and the back of my head has passed. I also went through a month of hot flushes which have gone now.

My light sensitivity has improved.

I still have lots of remaining symptoms though.

Trying to be patient!

After a 1 1/2 day horrible wave, I hit 11.5 months. Back at work for the 2nd day this week and feel 95% normal and enjoying being here at work :) It may not be over for me yet, but this is a huge step and I know I'm getting better finally! Had some very minor sx today that lasted 15 mins or so.

Colley, keep going man, I think we are close to some big healing!

colley yes, I do feel better, but it is a bit of a rollercoaster. 9 months out, just came out of a 3 day wave from hell.

but once I left it, feeling pretty good! I nearly forget how bad it was and just live life....till it hits me again lol.....hopeful to be done every time it happens.....

Good feedback... I hope there is more based on all of the views I see on posts daily. It sucks that only a very small portion of the community chime in on polls. Or does that mean there are only 7 or so people out of everyone on this board are seeing improvements? Impossible to gauge success on this board I believe.

Glad you're back at work Klungo. Huge step... wish I was there.

Hopefully more people bounce in on this one...

Do you think you could handle work at all? I know it's a scary leap but it definitely helps with distraction and having a focus on something other than this.

Hi Colley, yes I am definitely doing better. It's so gradual it's hard to tell from one day to the next, but if I compare to months ago, it is plain to see. Are you doing any better? How many months are you now?

Klungo, congrats on returning to work! Glad to hear you are doing so well...

Thanks Tee, it's good to be back. I had a bad wave yesterday and fortunately didn't have to work but I'm hoping those are going to far fewer now. Feeling 90-95% at times today.

How are you?

I'm improved but nowhere near healed at month 40.  All mental crap gone but physical stuff is a bear.  Ugh.

Yes, at 6 months I can see healing has taken place.  My worst symptoms of insomnia, breathing problem, repetitive looping songs are still a struggle but I am seeing some improvements and other symptoms have left.

Thanks Colley for taking this poll.  It gives hope!

I am doing ok. My sleep is still not normal but most days I feel 90%. Thanks for asking!

Klungo and Teegirl! That's great to hear that you are both getting in the that 90% range now. Not much longer now till this will all be ancient history.

Im close to 6 off too, breathing crap, fatigue, and anxiety/scared feelings/morning dread now. We are healing!

I'm getting better and better as the days pass, but still have a ways to go.  I really "feel the healing" though, even when I'm in a wave, like now.  Anxiety is pretty much gone, my general outlook on life is better than ever, even when I'm suffering. It's like the symptoms have become noise beneath the real/healed me.  I'm hoping the end is not too far off, and feeling optimistic that I'll be healed by 18 months.  It helps for me to maintain optimism by breaking it up into chunks of time.  I swore I'd be healed a couple weeks after my long taper ended, then looked to 3 months, then 6 months, then 9 months, then a year, and so on.

In a brutal wave now with all of my remaining symptoms: blurry vision, head pressure, plugged ears, depression, DP/DR, benzo belly.  ALL of these symptoms thankfully go away now in windows, so I'm able to dismiss them, at least more than I once did.  It's miserable, but doable.  If the depression and DP/DR went away, I'd be back into the swing of life for sure.

Hang in there buddies.

16 months out and still suffering with painful thingling in head scalp, head pressure, severe anxiety and depression. What is got better...less panic attacks, and started to feel love. Smiling sometimes.

Hoping to heal
