some tough days...

I am in week 8 of being z-drug free. It is late in the evening and the later it gets the more depressed I feel today. I am looking forward to take my evening shower, because that helps. I have experienced all kind degrees of suffering, but this is a 'toughy'. My body is longing for zopiclone, but I won't give in. I will win this fight. I have not really a question or such. I just wanted to tell you about the horrors. I feel like a block of concrete. I can't even enjoy music, something I normally like to listen to. I WILL WIN I WILL WIN

Hang in there - you've done so well.  Now all it needs is time.

I know - when we are depressed we wish we could compress time and jump to a point in the future where it is all good again. 

(I, too, am very depressed and feel nowhere near as solid as concrete, more like slowly dissolving mud. I am still only in the taper stage, Ativan c/o to Valium and tried to go too fast.)

If you can hold on, just from one moment to the next, remembering that healing is taking place under the surface, you will get there.
