I only took Ativan for a total of 3 weeks. 40ish pills. That was in March. It is October and I still do not feel better. Can this still be from Ativan?
Posted
Absolutely it can. What are your remaining symptoms?
Posted
Ocd, still not sleeping through the night, irregular menstrual cycle, still having some depression but it's more mild now and I think it might be because I'm still feeling this way, and the dp is minor but I do not feel like I'm myself if that makes any sense.

Makes perfect sense. I think you'll clear up relatively soon. Or at least I sure hope so. I wish we knew how long this process was going to take! I'm dealing the worst with the OCD stuff now. Did you say you were on an antidepressant?

What kind of OCD are you having?  No, I am not taking anything else. I am so disappointed about this happening as I'm sure everyone is. I took it for insomnia and anxiety that was brought on by an antibiotic. But after I quit taking the Ativan that anxiety, OCD, insomnia, got worse. Along with the other things.

Typical paradoxical reaction. Benzos are notorious for that. My ICD has been centered on a few things during my taper. Primarily health anxiety. And then once I jumped, harm OCD. I'm not allowed to iterate more on this forum but if you want details you can PM me. It has been bad. Primarily because of the depersonalization. It makes it hard to discern what's real and what isn't.

Do not take it wrong but trust me u have minimum symptoms as compare to others, and I hope whatever u left with will go away soon, quantity and duration does not matter a lot once u become dependent on benzo.

Hi need someone,

I can hopefully be of help here as I took pretty much the same amount for the same period, and had very similar symptoms.

I felt mostly better with some nagging symptoms at six months, and posted a success story at nine months. I'm almost two years out now and don't believe I have any benzo related issues left.

I still get occasional insomnia and anxiety, but I had that before ativan.

So in short, hang in there, it's likely you'll keep improving over the next few months. For me a lot of the depression was related to the situation the benzos caused, versus from the benzos.

Yes for sure. I took Klonopin for ~4 weeks and 10 months later I am still having WD symptoms. Doing much better, but still not 100%.

I took Ativan for about 4-6 weeks and I'm closing in on 10 months off. I'm still having symptoms, but time is definitely healing.
