Yes, I know I shouldn't had done it but I did. It's been an month and a few days since I C/T off 0.5mg. My story is a little more complicated. So I was given 1mg during Mid-June 2017. I didn't like it though the sleep was awesome though I felt I slept for nearly two days. I stopped taking it (should have left it there) because it was too potent. I think I was getting withdrawals by then, I don't remember because I called out sick to work. I started to take the meds at lower dosages because my doctor told me too (though she didn't tell me about it's side effects). I started taking it 0.5 then I broke the tablets so bad that I was taking mainly at 0.25mg for the most part. I was getting side effects and insomnia within a month using it PRN. I didn't use it everyday. I would keep taking it a few days due to insomnia not knowing it was my meds the entire time. I did a staycation here in Hawaii and it was the worst vacation ever due to my W/D again not knowing what was going on. When the insomnia got really bad because I work at a hospital and I started getting panic attacks out of the blue. I cold turkey at Aug 1st at 0.5 for a dumb reason (I just decided to use this amount). I woke up nauseous but my W/D didn't really kick in till day 3. After that it was everything except seizures and hallucinations.

During week 2, I thank God for my mom that she got me out of my sick bed/I was in fetal position worry mode by then. I was working out when this was the toughest week. Ever since then I would work out at least 30 min to 1 hr for 5 days a week at least. Though it can be exhausting so there are days where I lie in bed till afternoon. It helped my sleep because ever since then I would get 4-5 hrs of interupted sleep.  Though if I stop working out I get less and less sleep. I'm still getting only 4-5hrs of fractured sleep so this is frustrating ever since there is no improvement after week 2.  I'm trying to learn how to meditate as well.

I'm going to see my doctor tomorrow and most likely disappoint her with the news after a month and a psychiritrist(sp?) later this week. I dunno if they are gonna do much for me. I really don't want to go back on drugs. I thought about seroquel but man, it pretty much messes your brain as well. I took off one month from work and I'm still not cleared. I really need my job but what should I do? Should I tough it out? Man, I can't believe these drugs messed me up on a very short notice. My friend took lorezapam and he had symptoms but he is healed after a month. He was short term as well.

I still get tightness sometimes (facial, sinus, some dizziness (anxiety on this part I believe) and some chest/neck tightness. But for an odd reason if I work out or eat, yes eat, most of the symptoms tends to go away so I don't know if it is mimicking low blood pressure or what. So as you guess, it is sleep i am worried about because I work night shifts and so far my body seems to only sleep at night. Prior to benzo usage, I was able to sleep any time so that is why I was able to do night shifts. Any thoughts? I'm on week 6 with Insomnia really being the worst symptom. Yeah, I know I get 4-5hrs sleep from time to time but man I hate how my sleep is through a rhythm and after a month I'm still getting only the same amount. I'm not trying to complain because I know lots of you folks have it rougher than me but any ideas? Or should I just keep exercising? I don't know how much longer I can last on this. It gets exhausting after while. Man, of all symptoms this is preventing me from doing my job. I don't mind the dizziness and tightnesses, but it had to be insomnia.

OTC meds: So far I have sleep-aid Diphenhydramine, Sleepytime sinus soother, unisom, Magnesium, Melatonin, and Olly. I only used the last three so far. Olly helps me relax though I don't know if it really helps with sleep. I heard Unisom can be addicting too but I may need it because I really need sleep for my job. I can only stay home for so long. Sorry for the long post.

You should settle down soon. You weren't on for long. Hang in there, be optimistic and keep exercising. A little Benadryl may help too.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I can recover soon as well as the rest of you folks. From what I am hearing the way I was damaged, I was very sensitive to the drug. So many people online and in person had told me this. Oh well, just gotta wait it out and keep with the exercise. I'm still getting weird and new symptoms every week. Hope they go away soon.

As expected, I went to my doc, she knew about the side effects of Klonopin (in my mind, "why on earth did you not tell me!?!") She doesn't believe K can give you insomnia though. Oh well, new doc for me though my faith in doctors is very little to none. My psychologist knows about these things though she also believes withdrawals shouldn't last more than 2 weeks. Oh well, I only need my psychologist to clear me for work. 2 more sessions and hope to God I'm back at work. Gives me something else to focus my mind on. Well, gotta stay positive. I pray for all of you as well.
