I already told you what works.

You must find cause.

It's not heart.

If it's not withdrawal they're probably right that it's GERD or costochondritis.

I see that Ranitidine is for GERD and not for costochondritis. If you don't want to try curcumin with black pepper for costoch. try then some anti-inflammatory pills that will mask your inflamation and give you probably some side-effects.

GERD never gave me chest pains, but costochondritis did.

What would you like to hear? That it is your heart? No, it isn't. No matter how useless doctors are, they would still be able to find problems with your heart.

Hey now don't get frustrated, Alokin. We are all scared. I posted the same thing over and over recently. Sometimes we just need reassurance. I had costochondritis during my taper and also chest heaviness and GERD and air hunger. All entirely normal, and not dangerous.

GERD could be withdrawal symptom, but I doubt that costochondritis could be too.

She probably has one of those and not both at the same time, but because they give similar symptoms, doctors said she has both of those, probably because they actually don't know.

I had both. With no prior history and no infection to speak of. Withdrawal can do anything to anyone at any time. Be kind.

How do you know that you had both? Both can give you the same symptoms because both are in the same place (in the chest), so you can't possibly know if you have GERD or costoch.

I am kind and I gave her answers, but I obviously don't know what she would like to hear with repeating same question all over again.

For GERD she must avoid sugar, chocolate milk and similar stuff. Water can help. If it's because of withdrawal then nothing can help until withdrawal symptoms stop.

Severe reflux is a common withdrawal symptom;  it can be dangerous if caused by gastroparesis, but many here have managed through it.  Put 'reflux' or 'feed' in the search engine or check benzo belly;  you'll get a myriad of answers.  For me personally it was debillitating terrifying and incredibly painful;  I was virtually on a liquid diet until I got some medical help.  All the best with this sx xxx

Hi there,

From your signature it looks like you just jumped from the Xanax. I had horrible heart burn my entire taper from my anti-depressants. Finally I went to the doctor and got some prescription relief for it. I had to only take it a week and decided not to continue and it heart burn had gone away entirely. I think is just a part of the healing for us. It's horrible but it does pass however slowly.

Stay strong, you can do this  :smitten:
