Withdrawal from Claritin?

I understand that many people feel nervousness when taking an antihistamine.....but I am suffering from extreme nervousness from stopping the medication....I only took it for a week, but the day I stopped the nervousness started and has worsened today.  I checked the web and found that Avery small percentage of women mostly experience nervousness and anxiety when quitting.

Just wondering if anyone here has experienced this?  I searched BB and found that most people experienced anxiety/nervousness while taking it.  Any comments would be appreciated.  Thanks

I've never heard of it but hat doesn't mean it's not possible. Are there any other things you did or didn't do around the same time?

YES, I experienced the same thing.  I have taken Claritin daily for years for year round allergies.  I stopped it last fall at about 18 months off, thinking to simplify my regimen.  Within a couple of days, I had a return of a lot of my withdrawal symptoms, including blood pressure spikes and anxiety.  It was the only thing I had changed so I started taking it again and within 2 days, my symptoms went back to baseline.  I think our bodies become extra sensitive to many things during healing  and the Claritin, at least for me, helped to keep it in check somewhat.  So its not all in your head.
