Anyone know of any science re phase 1 and 2 liver enzymes and Valium toxicity?

I'm trying to figure out what's going on with me with Valium . aside from a difficult taper and being stuck around 8 mgs for some time now .

I am a fast metabolizer according to my genetic profile .

CYP2C19*17 variant

I believe this enzyme works in the gut and also in phase one liver processing of Valium .

I have a slower phase two metabolizm .... Due to another variant ...NAT2 I think .

I'm concerned about toxicity from Valium metabolites , that phase two can't process fast enough and causing over oxidation .

What my main question is , and what I can't find an answer to is -

If one metabolizes the parent drug diazepam extra fast , what happens with the metabolites ? Do they also somehow get metabolized faster? Or do they hang around longer .

You can tell I'm no scientist , but I can't find any information on this .

What's bothering me is Valium is becoming increasingly sedating for me , which is not supposed to happen .... That aspect is supposed to wear off the more you take it . I'm having the opposite .

Valium is making me more and more fatigued .

My withdrawals are also brutal with the tiniest reductions... So much for self regulating WD with Valium!

the WDs hit around 10 days then just keep getting worse for weeks . It's been 8 weeks since I microtapered 1/16 th mg in June , and I'm worse than ever .....

So , just wondering if anyone has any clues or similar experience .

Thank you !
