Hey Hope, I hear you about the burning it is insanely painful. I've had it for over a year but now it seems to be coming on less and less. How long have you had the burning? Believe me I know how hard it is and I have had the same exact thoughts so many times.  Please try to keep pushing through, it's hell but you can do it.  I wish I had a remedy for it, sometimes cold compresses helped other times Vapo Rub. You are so strong and endured so much already. Please keep fighting, I send you a huge hug  Feel free to message me if you want to vent buddy

Thanks for not using the "S" word.  Sounds like you have not fully mastered the meaning of the word "SLOW" yet.  As for me I accepted the idea that MANY-MANY years of tapering may be what is needed for some of us.

Some people can't find a doctor in time willing to do things slowly for them.  I'm one example.

If your experiencing burning get someone to massage your feet and ankles gently or rub your spin. I find it calms things down,
