I'm 11 months 1 week. I've had some 24 hr windows this past week but I've had some of the worst days and symptoms in months.

Pain is back, sleep is bad, mornings worse again.

Really struggling with the intensity and feeling sick. Is this normal so far out. Was under the impression that it should be getting easier..

I'm still fairly new, but for what it's worth I have seen quite a few posts where people have major turning points at 12-13 months. You're almost there! I hope this wave is quick for you, Klungo.

I keep telling myself that as well. It does seem common. I guess after having a fairly doable time lately it feels so much worse. Having rough mornings again just sets up your day badly.

The stats tend to reflect the 12 month point, guess I need to try and stay strong..

I've heard that a 12 month wave is really common. I think this might be the last big push, Klungo. You can power through this. I know acceptance is really hard, but once you let go and give up your reliance on the calendar, you'll already have won the mental battle. You've got this.

I'm going to hit the 12 month off mark in a few days. I wish I could say I was all healed :tickedoff:

I felt the best in the first six months. The last six months have been one symptom after another. The digestive issues were never a problem in the beginning. And this last month, so much anxiety, cog fog and dizziness. I feel like I'm back to square one. It's so frustrating. I hope we hear from some folks who turned a corner after a year off. Or would love to hear from peeps who are 11-12 months out.

Sometimes just hearing that others are going through the same thing makes you feel better.

Not that I want my buddies to not get better...youmall know what I mean.

Others don't really get it! We need to come here and chat it out and hold each other's hands...

Good points New girl, sorry you are still having crap as well. We have to be getting past the worst or so I thought. Maybe another few weeks and I will. Today has been much better so good day bad day once more. Maybe this one will last longer than a day :/

I really wish people on here would STOP saying things like "Oh it gets better at 6 months out" or "it gets better at 12 months" and things of that nature.

EVERY ONE is different, so everyone's recovery and path is individual, I REPEAT, INDIVIDUAL.

Some people do get better at 6 months, some at 12 months, some at 18 months and some further than that. Only time will tell. Don't compare yourself to others.

Take a look at the "Protracted Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Symptoms" section on here, it's for people 18+ months out. Read articles and you'll see some members ARE experiencing INTENSE waves at 30+ months out!!! Again, it's individual. Just hang in there and do what you have been doing to cope .

Hang in there Klungo... I'm right behind you (not literally of course) and you're lucky to have the windows you have been having. They are hard to remember after being in a wave for day. I know I've had a couple but fail to remember the "feeling" of any of them. Hopefully they get longer after each wave you go through. Keep at it brother...

You are right everyone is different however most people fall.into the 6-18. A majority are ok by 14-15, some less. That may not be 100% but well enough to not care anymore. These are well known numbers, according to this site and also people like Baylissa, and a lot do have significant improvement at around a 1 year. Hopefully that's all of us!

This is the 4th day doing much better (so far) I'd have to say since thu I feel a decent baseline of feeling quite normal. Still had sx but minor. In the last 7 days 5 window days, the other 2 being horrible. Fingers crossed I'm passed the worst

How are you?

I hear ya Klungo, I'm in the third day of a major setback with no food or exercise correlation. I'm hoping this is the last go. It feels different like its almost time to get on. I'm optimistic.

hey Klungo so how long did your wave last? I got hit with some junk too....3rd day today.  I did not feel as bad since month 3.

hard to believe that this is still benzo.

Posted
They have been 1 - 1 1/2 day waves then had 4 day window, now back in a bad day..ugh
Posted

how bad are your waves? would you  compare them to acute?

I feel pretty close it....they always lasted 1-2 days max as well, then back to baseline. but now for no reason sitting in day 3.....

Posted
Yeah last week both days were close to acute. Today wasn't as bad but still not great. Hoping tomorrow I'll be good again. I had a bit uptick in hours and intensity of sx the last 2 weeks. Hopefully this was the last of it as I close in on a year. Going back to work tomorrow, there are days now where I think this will be great, but still days that I know will be rough. I think work will be flexible with me. I haven't done an 8 hr day in a long time though. Nervous to say the least.

Good luck to you, Klungo, on starting back at work tomorrow.  I think you'll rise to the occasion.  I hope all goes well.

Man, that sounds just awful, having waves this far out that are as bad as acute.  What are the sxs?  I hope it lets up for you tomorrow.

Thanks its been eye muscle pain and feeling sick, crappy, muscle.pain. It's been a rough day again. It all got more intense this past 2 weeks, alongside windows of feeling good. Just got hit with nausea again and depression as well.
