3 weeks out

Anybody else 3 weeks post taper???  Would like to find someone in a similar time frame to chat with.  Also, does anyone get better in 4-6 weeks or does everyone suffer for many months post benzodiazepines.

I'm six weeks out yesterday. Most folks I have read start improving at six weeks. And it goes back and forth from there. What are you experiencing?

Mostly insomnia, brain issues and lots of stomach issues...bloating, indigestion, and swelling in legs.  Crazy how many things this effects.

If you take a look at this section and also the "18+ months off" section, you will see it varies from person to person.

 

some people have withdrawals, waves and windows, for months and months and months, sometimes years.

 

Others recover quickly. It all depends on the person and how long you were on them.

 

I was on Benzos for Less than 6 months and tapered in 3 months and now am almost 6 months off and still having slight waves and windows. Nothing as bad as when i was tapering, but its still there and pretty debiletating. Its all indiviudal mate!

Just seen you're signature. did you taper off valium or cold turkey? 8 years is a LONGGGG time on the strongest benzo there is. You probably will be feeling like crud for a good minute(months, maybe years)  :/// Only time will tell mate.

i have been tapering since February.  I know 8 years is a long time.  That's what happens when you blindly follow your doctors advice!  I would have never taken this medication if I had any idea how it would affect me.  The withdraw is showing me that it affected a lot!

22 days post jump and feeling awful.  Can only sleep with gabapentin (which I take every 3rd night so I don't build tolerance) and have sky high cortisol and hypothyroid issue to add in the mix - constant DP/DR, dizzy, spaced out, and bad anxiety which is way worse on nights I do not sleep.  This all sucks....

Hi, 3 weeks tomorrow for me. Still experiencing morning anxiety, tinitus, flu like symptons - cough, sore throat, aches and pains. Hoping for better days ahead because this is exhausting!

Sounds like we are at about the same stage.  What are you w/d from?  How long were you on it prior to taper?  Nice to find someone at the same stage.
