I could use some advice. My taper ended the day after Christmas. I'm a teacher so I was on summer vacation. I was anxious at times but I attributed it to thinking about going back to school when I had a really nightmarish nine months of all withdrawal. Not to mention I started at a new school and I was a freakish creature the way I was behaving. I was afraid they were going to think I was messed up person or crazy. Anyway other than being a bit anxious I was feeling great I was exercising again eating well sleeping eight and a half hours like I did years ago and my whole life. I did go off the anticonvulsant they gave me to ease the withdrawal. I'm not sure how much of it was that or losing sleep and being very stressed trying to start a school year. But the withdrawal symptoms though much weaker did come back more than they have in 3 months. And stronger. The worst part was the insomnia where I go to bed exhausted and wake up as if it was the middle of the day and I'm completely alert. And then the inner shaking and difficulty concentrating. I was surprised to see such intensity at almost a year. I have that feeling like so many of you that it's going to never end. But mostly I fear that it's going to take many more months and I really just want to be done with this. And I want to get off this drug it's taking my hair and making me fat I lethargic. Any advice would be welcome.

Im about 6 months out and i feel you like Lord, granted Ive binge drank a shit ton this whole summer so i prob set myself back in some way or another, but its like damn am i ever gonna feel normal again? I go to the other section for people who are 18+ months off and are still having issues and worse. They say time heals everything and i believe some people do heal, but maybe some of us never do?
