Ok...I am taking .25 lorezapam at night because I was having anxiety and insomnia.  Now I was periodically taking lorezapam here and there for anxiety...

30 pills of .5 mg Jan 28th 2017

30 pills of .5 mg March 30th 2017. Still had some left over from January tho....

30 pills of .5 mg August 1 2017. Still had some left from March tho.

I get nervousness, heart palpitations, feel down sometimes, anxiety....varies thru out the day...

Ok so how do I taper of the dose I take at night? Of .25 mg of lorezapam

And what can I take to help me get some sleep that's not addictive and won't interact with the lorezapam?

I ordered a scale and want to do this right...

Do I break up my doses to twice a day?  Do I reduce all the pills during the taper or just pick one pill?

I know my dosage is lower then anyone else I've seen on here so far...

Please help me figure this out...

Thanks!!

Since you're taking it once a day (at bedtime) it seems to me that you may be having interdose (between doses) withdrawal issues, which is to be expected when taking a fast-acting benzodiazepine once a day for longer than a couple of weeks.  Once the Ativan wears off (in 5-7 hours), the body then can go into withdrawal for the hours until the next dose.

As you mentioned, this is a very low dose...it's roughly equivalent to .125mg of Xanax.  That being said, if your body is dependent on it, you'll still want to taper.  If it were me, I'd probably try cutting it in half to taper.

My guess is that the withdrawal won't feel much worse than how you're feeling all day long before you take the Ativan at night.

Sleep is another issue.  Most of us have insomnia for awhile after benzodiazepine use and not much except time helps with that, especially since that was why you were put on Ativan to begin with.

You might want to check the  Insomnia    board and see if there are tips for sleep that may help.
