HELLO...need help tapering off 5mg of Librium capsules with powder in them.  Someone gave me your names to help.  I take 5 mgs only once at night.  I would like to try the titrating method as scale weighing the powder sounds too difficult to me.  I will buy a 100ml graduated cylinder and some syringes as I'd like to taper off 5% per month.  I can't do milk but alcohol and water may be fine.  I'm so worried that the powder will not dissolve in water.  I need step by step directions on what to do and a spreadsheet that I can download.  Never thought this would be so hard.

Your librium WILL dissolve in water.

 

But Gardener99 is more familiar with librium than I am.  You might have better luck posting your inquiry here.  That's where she hangs out.

Hi Builder,

 

Would you be able to help me do a spreadsheet on tapering off 5mgs of LIbrium doing the titration liquid method?  I would like to do 5% every month and take out a little per day.  Just hope I will be doing the right thing.  I was told you were the math guy.  I guess I will do 100 ml of water/alcohol...not sure which is better...water or water/alcohol combo.  I still need to get some syringes. 

 

I'm terrible with math and I'm currently withdrawing from another benzo type med...Progesterone of all things.  So staying on the computer for hours is killing me and making me feel off in the head. 

 

Thanks for any info anyone can give me.  I'm getting some good information from Viveet I think is the name.  Just not clear on a few things and need math/spreadsheet help.
