I'm scared this is never going to get better. The anxiety is so bad and physical symptoms. When will this get better?

Despite me having a bad time mentally right now (a wave), let me say that YES, YOU WILL GET BETTER! It might take time, but you will be. It can be hard to see the forest for the trees, the stars for the big city lights, but know that you will. We all will. We get discouraged when it seems like progress has reverted back to degression, but for every two steps forward and one step back, its still progress. In the waves that I get being almost 10 weeks off, I feel fear, and I let it get the best of me which sends me into a spiral.

You are strong Hope, stronger than you already imagine. You will get stronger, and one day, this will be a fair weather memory that we drew so much from that we never forget that we grew stronger.

The fear is the worst part.  It's an indescribably primal terror that I wouldn't wish on anyone.  I remember being early on thinking the same thing.  It just doesn't feel normal or natural, and that's because it isn't.  You're going through something more difficult than most people can understand.  I promise it gets better.  The best thing you can do for yourself is find a way to sleep:  medications, exercise, meditation, sleep hygeine, whatever works.  Being able to turn off the horror reel makes it feel so much more manageable.  The only thing that ever put me to sleep during acute withdrawal (that isn't a  gabanergic) is Quetiapine (Seroquel).  Hang in there.  You're in the fight of your life.  Win
