The money I wasted

I'm thinking of all the money I wasted cashing taper related illnesses. Has to be in the thousands of dollars. I could have spent at least a month in a health spa or longer.

Spine doctors, neurologists, ENTs, MRIs, CAT scans, co-pays - some as high as $750.00, hospital stays, $75.00 emergency room bills. The MRIs cost me $150.00 each. I went to Brigham and Women's, UmassMemorial, MASS Eye and Ear and had tests. My 12 day vacation at Beth Israel where they did the rapid taper that caused all the mess cost me $750.00.

All because of the forced rapid taper off of Klonopin at Beth Israel. If they had minded their own f**ing business I wouldn't be in this mess. I would have been finished my taper over a year ago.

I hope there is a special place in hell for the doctors and staff that did that to me. .5MGs a day drop. I'm shocked every time I think of that. Just so they could squeeze all the money that could out of my insurance. Ruin someone's life for a few extra bucks.

 

On a lighter note. The DEA is about to ban Kratom so I'm getting 25% off emails and requests from vendors to sign a petition to not have it banned. I can't take the stuff any more so I could give a shit if it's banned. Funny how things turn out.

And the worst of all. I had to pay $300.00 for the Klonopin.

Hundreds of thousands! Lost wages, ER visits, medications, child care, the list could go on forever.

OMG it's so much money.  What they did to you at Beth Israel is really awful.  I'm sorry that happened to you.

I was in BIDMC inpatient at the end of May for a week. Was not a big fan although the food was good.  Why did they want you off so aggressively and with no Valium?  What did they give you for seizures.

6MGs in 12 days! I was on Lamictal so the doctor in charge thought that was going to cover the seizures. The doctor went aggressively because he just didn't know what he was doing. He said he had a scientific formula that he was using. This idiot needed a scientific formula to figure out to drop someone at .5MGs a day. He also proudly stated that he never uses co-medications for a taper. They/he knew that my doctor was just going to put me back on Klonopin when I was released. I told them that I was going to go back on it when I was released. I can only think they kept me there for the insurance. No other reason makes sense. Oh, during the ten minute interview, for some reason he said, "I bet you're a tough guy." I said maybe when I was younger. After that during the rest of my stay he kept taunting me calling me "Mr. tough guy." Honest to God! This guy is a very sick man.

I kept saying that they were going to cause permanent damage. I kept asking other doctors to stop this. They would either say that they didn't want to get involved or it was ok because I was being medically monitored. That was taking my blood pressure twice a day. Insomnia, trembling all over, feeling like my body was one twisted knot and having a difficult time walking wasn't a problem to them.

OH, and the prick wouldn't release me unless I agreed to go on 30MGs of Remeron. Sooner or later I'm going to taper off of that. I would love to post his name. And he said, "Lots of time when people leave here after a taper they crash and burn." You think?

If you're ever being taken to Beth Israel slip the ambulance driver a couple of bucks and have him take you over to Mass General.

It's my opinion that Beth Israel did it just for the extra money.
