Tapering advice - HELP....

I am currently at .25 lorezapam which I take at night before bed.  I was taking it as needed for the past few months but the last few weeks I take it daily in the evening to help with sleep.  During the day when I don't take it I get occasional muscle twitching, fatigue, some heart palpitations, some anxiety at times.  Sometimes I have gotten depression as well...

i want out of this....

My friends and family notice that I don't act like myself and I can't seem to handle much stress.

Can this be from lorezapam?

I do have anxiety in general and I have hypoglycemia, which I have to eat regularly...

About a month ago or so I tried not taking it at all for a few days and I remember at night getting some palpitations and sort of like a brain zap which woke me up.  The anxiety was so bad after like two days I took it again.

So any idea on how to get off the dosage I am on?

PLEASE HELP ME...THANKS

Sounds like you have developed a mild dependency. If you've been able to skip doses for a few days, even a month ago, then your dependecy is not strong. Everything you have mentioned is totally to be expected.

You should be able to taper off without too much issue. I would start cutting back by a quarter of a dose at a time, see how it goes for a few days, then cut again if you are ready. It is likely that you will feel some withdrawal effects after a cut, such as a bit of anxiety, some heart palpitations, fatigue, but it should be bearable, and smooth out after a few days.

You will want to balance getting off the drug fairly quickly (so your dependency and side effects don't become worse), versus kicking up withdrawal symptoms that are more than you can manage. Let your body tell you when you can cut and how much. I would also talk to your doctor about what you are doing.
