Hello, a brief history on myself. I've been suffering from GAD, panic attacks, ptsd and agoraphobia for a little over 11 years now. I was eventually put in Ativan 1mg daily and now here I am 6 years later and I'm at 4mg daily. I requested 2 weeks ago that I be tapered off this medicine. My doctor first went the route where I switch to a longer acting Benzo but that sent me running to my local emergency room due to my body being so sensitives to meds. A day later I got back in to see my Doctor who decided to let me taper off the Ativan itself. I've started my taper which is 0.5mg 7x a day for 2 weeks and then 6x a day then following 2 weeks and so on. I'm on day 4 of my taper and I've already been feeling like I have flu like symptoms, unbalanced, dizzy, dry mouth, numb fingers and toes, irritable, and tense. This happens on and off throughout the day. I'm not completely sure if this is normal or if I'm tapering too fast. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
