Time to start taper again at 2 mg of diazepam.  Had to hold for several months due to thyriod issues. Scared but determined.  Thinking about .25 at a time. Anyone else that has cut at this dose  . Would love feedback. I have  many symptoms still yet not as intense as before . Just want to be done!!!!Thanks!

You might want to do a micro taper at his low a dose. I'm sure builder and I know kgirl has experience with this.

Hi there, if you've cut by 0.25 before and it wasn't horrendous then go for it. I personally wished I would have been able to drop by smaller doses, I think my brain would have been able to handle it far better.

Good luck buddy  :smitten:

Hello Peacehound,

You might want to look at the very simple, but effective, liquid titration method described in "The Benzo Book"  which is a free download (pdf file) listed on www.thebenzobook.com  under "About the Book" section.  I'm no chemist, but this method looks pretty straight-forward to me (it takes a long time though!)

Best to you

I cut by .5mg down 1mg, which I'm at now. I'm going to cut by .25mg down to .5mg and jump off. I wasn't doing too bad until this last cut. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't held for longer than that because I start to go downhill after 2 weeks. Has anyone actually improved during a long hold?

yeah sure... -thats the whole point... But what do you call a long hold.??

-I wouldnt call it long until after 3 months...  6 months is not uncommon on the Long Hold Support Group, But thats a case by case thing...  Its symptom based, not time based...

Again, Its just letting healing catch up to medication intake...

I would suggest if one is starting to feel worse again after only two weeks, -That they are cutting before the healing cycle is complete.. Symptoms may well continue to accumilate with further cuts...

Often this leads to a rush to get off, and into nasty post acute symptoms...
