Oh yes ernieJ, supplements were a big no no for me during my taper and still a problem now. I'm 3.5 months free now and only in the past week did I find my body could tolerate certain foods.

I'm having the most awful panic attacks but I feel like I'm past the point of no return. It's awful knowing that there's nothing anyone can do but crank up the benzos again. I went against my better judgment and had a couple of cups of chamomile tea and that seemed to make everything worse. I even googled how it works on the brain and it said it attaches to the benzo receptors. When am I going to learn to keep away from ANYTHING that does that? I guess I'll add that to my list. I'm coming upon two years since the tinnitus started and it only got worse over time. Going to the hospital won't accomplish anything. The loud searing hissing is making me sick to my stomach. My neurologist told me to hold at .5MGs until I stabilized but I never stabilize. I'm not doing well at all.

My doctors said  :nono: to chamomile tea as some of the ingredients are cross tolerant so you can end up worse than before.

I definitely have the hissing, I just notice it worse when its all quiet. I really dont notice it much at work.

Here’s the other thing. I have been taking .25MG Orally Disintegrating tabs. The ones I was taking would melt in about 30 seconds. Wal-Mart changed manufacturers. Now the tabs are about 1/3 the size and take about 3 minutes to dissolve so I don’t if I’m getting the same consistency. I noticed a difference after I made the switch. I contacted PAR Pharmaceutical and they sent me a FedEx bag and asked me to send a sample of each. I don’t know where that’s going to lead.

This is a loud searing hissing. I guess I have a hard time getting people (Friends, family, doctors) to understand just how loud it is. They think "how bad can it be?" Or "you need to learn new coping strategies." I've been told to go home and run a fan in the background. Or the, "I have tinnitus, what are you complaining about."
