Down to .25mg of klonopin/clonazepam

Hello,

I have successfully tapered down from 1mg of klonopin to 0.25mg fairly quickly at 0.125mg a time which is a quarter of a pill every two weeks.  The worst of the withdrawals are over in a few days once they kick in.  My question is should I slow down on the last 0.25mg as if I continue tapering at this rate it would be a 50% cut.  Has anyone else tapered this fast?

Yes, I would go slower and make smaller cuts.  Liquid titration is very useful for smaller decreases in dosage.

I think if you go slow and taper very low you give yourself the best chance for an uneventful jump.

I did a slow taper until I to to .25mg and got so fed up I just stopped taking the pills. Had almost no issues. I say continue on at the pace you were going, if anything happens just reinstate and start going slower. Why prolong this shit?

That's quite a big jump that's the equivalent of 5mg of valium. The last quarter I cut had been rough. First real withdrawals.
