When should I Jump?

I'm feeling more stable now at .8 mg V, so I'm going to resume my DLMT by reducing at .04 mg per day. I'm thinking of jumping at .25 mg. Does this seem reasonable? Or should I just go down to 0? Symptoms so far have been manageable enough that I have been able to work, travel etc until about two weeks ago when I started having major panic and anxiety. I'm assuming this happened because I took progesterone, but I'm nervous that it's only because I'm so low now in my dose. Are others finding it hard at this low a dose? I was hoping I would start feeling better

Honestly, there’s no “right” answer here for you. Everyone is completely different. I’ve seen ppl jump from 2.5mg and seen some go all the way down to .05 then jump. It’s really all up to what you can handle and work through. I stopped benzos at .5mg and felt literally zero after quitting.  As in, no big surprise. Nada. Just a few lingering random zaps and whatnot but NOTHING like a wave or anything like that.

It’s all up to what you think you can do. Just remember it’s not a race. Just do what you think you can do. Don’t get scared either. It’s ok to be cautious, but don’t be scared. That’ll bring anxiety and rev things up. You will do the right thing when it’s time.

Well, as posted already it is up to you when to jump as we all react differently. I'm tapering Librium and plan to jump when I will be at 1.5 which roughly equals 0.6 Valium. My doc told me that such a low doses have psychological effect only but as we know in BB Doctors do not know this too well.

Hi, I plan to jump at 1 mg of Librium which is supposed to be equivalent to .25 Valium. I am down to 1.5 now and have noticed that these last bits seem to be the hardest symptom wise. I think .5 or  lower is an okay dose to leap from. Just remember that once you do there is no turning back. So, take your time and listen to your body. At the end of the day only you can decide.

I also noticed you starting taking Gabapentin. I have heard others say that it caused them to have some symptoms so you may want to try cutting that out to see if you feel better.

Thanks for the advice everyone

Skittkes45 - it's good to hear a story like yours where the jump was not too painful. There are a lot of really scary stories on here and I have to remind myself that my experience may not necessarily be the same. Thanks for sharing!

Thomas66 - my doc Also told me that the dose I'm on is too low to have any effect, but at least she agrees that I should go as slow as I'm comfortable with.

Annie50 - you're right that there is no turning back! I never want to do this again. So I'm going to listen to my body. And I agree about stopping the gabapentin. It did help at first when I was having intense anxiety and hadn't slept in a few days. But I'm doing much better now and don't think I need it. I've gone two days without it and I feel better

Praying that this feeling lasts!
