My recovery seems to have really taken a downward turn over the last few weeks. As I approach my year off I feel like I'm back in acute. Muscle pain, weakness, jaw pain, head pressure back, pain in the abdomen and chest. Tinnitus. Depression, anxiety, paranoia and intrusive thoughts. My goodness. Where do I go from here? Really having to keep it in the day right now. Just get through the day -that's the best I can do. So hard. Scared though. Not what I'd hoped for at a year off.

One day, one hour, one sandwich at a time. I'm sorry you're having a hard time at a year out. Sounds like it's a wave though, and the waves always recede eventually. Peace!

I've heard that some people get a wave right around the year mark and then never look back. This could be the major turning point for you. Stay strong! Im a few weeks behind you so I'm rooting for you!

I'm 11 1/2 months off and going backwards. The first six months were fine. Now stomach issues, neck pain, insomnia and increased anxiety. When willl we get better??

I hear you about "just getting through the day". I think that is the exact, precise attitude to keep your feet moving, and survive this mess.

I arrived at acceptance of that strategy, and then broke it all down to just taking care of "food, clothing, and shelter".  I put all existential thoughts (desires?) on the back burner and just took care of the day at hand in "compartment" sized pieces of time.

I'm one week shy of 18 months off, and I've been seeing big improvements since about 15.5 months off.  My energy is back, and ability to concentrate is getting much better.  Most physical symptoms are gone, except tinnitus.  The BEST thing I've done for my recovery is lots of hard cardio exercise.  I've been at it for about 15 months now, 5-6x / week, and I absolutely believe it has been speeding up my healing.  Apparently it's the best way to heal the brain.

Hang tough, and just keep trudging, one day at a time.

Best of luck!

"Just get through the day-that's the best I can do".  I'm at 11 months off and doing the same after having hitting a relentless wave.  Not what I was hoping for either.
