I'm 6 1/2 months out and feeling discouraged about my healing considering I only used klonopin for 5 weeks and even tapered for 3 weeks.

My symptoms have not improved for several months and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm seeing people on for a much longer time making more progress than I am, and I feel like I'm missing some memo on recovery.

My diet is really good, although I'm working full time my stress is pretty low. Doing some exercise,  using CBT and seeing a therapist.

My tinnitus is so loud every day, my dizziness and vertigo is getting worse, my anxiety and depression are consistantly high.

I had only a month of panic attacks prior to klonopin and before that I was doing very well. I don't see how this could be rebound anxiety since I removed the stressors in my life.

I'm in need of guidance. I feel like I should be seeing more progress.

If anyone has any suggestions I am in desperate need of guidance.

Thank you

Hang in there.  It will get better.  I've been trying to force myself to feel better.  Don't let the anxiety and depression win.  Stay strong and keep moving forward.  Keep your head up and your shoulders back and walk tall.

Just wondering, have you seen an ENT for the tinnitus/dizziness/vertigo?  There's something called Meniere's disease that affects the inner ear and causes those symptoms. It could very well just be benzo withdrawal, but it wouldn't hurt to rule out other causes.

Do not mind plz but symptoms u explaining are not too much I would say u are very lucky to have only these few symptoms, and I hope, pray and wish u will get better very soon.

ive been feeling discouraged by the nonlinear nature of healing from benzos too. I start to see a window and another wave steals my hope again. Another buddy said it like this: the waves lie! Trust the windows- they are a foretaste of life after healing. I know it's hard especially when we can't see the finish line. You are healing!

The tinnitus is the thing that is sticking around for me. I do get windows of nice attenutation. I feel stress makes EVERYTHING worse. I am almost 7 months out and I do feel much better but I have noticed that I go through bouts of "I can't talk about that right now" thing.

It will creep up at the strangest times. I have to stay positive of talk positive when I am like this because it just feels awful otherwise.

I think this thing can really take over your life and the more we talk about it- the more others will push away. I think a human being can only take so much negativity and most people want to "solve the problem for us" and the truth is they can't. Only time can. It's a time game.

I think I told you before about the tinnitus website that you match the pitch and then play the sequence. I am doing that now because my tinnitus started to get loud tonight. I didn't eat as much and sometimes I think that does make a difference for me.

heres the website http://generalfuzz.net/acrn/      it does give me relief....

Hang in there! You will get better!  ;)

Hi there,

I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time. My theory is that your taper was super fast,

you're a champ and it will get better slowly. You mentioned you also quit the other stuff (not sure how long you were doing this stuff or for how often) so it will also effect your healing time.  You are so strong to have come this far and in time it will improve for sure.

Sending you positive vibes  :smitten:
