Google and FB in the News -re: Benzo Withdrawal Sxs and Support?

Hmmm.....  Google is doing anything anonymous and untracked, yeah right.  FB is using AI to detect suicidal comments.  AI is suggesting what help to whom for depression?  A  “medically validated” questionnaire by who, big pharma docs?  Might Dr. Heather Ashton’s work have been / be deemed false or incomplete medical iformation”?

What might these developments mean for benzo withdrawal searches and support?

<<Only half of Americans who face depression get help for it, and Google is determined to increase that percentage. As of today, it's offering a medically validated, anonymous screening questionnaire for clinical depression if you search for information on the condition..... The questionnaire is part of a larger effort from internet giants to provide helpful and potentially life-saving information to people with mental health issues. Facebook is testing AI that can detect suicidal comments and make it easier to get help, while its Instagram service recently started offering support to users when their friends report concerning posts..... Google and others are determined to fight fake news, and they know that the consequences of false or incomplete medical information could be serious...>>

Thank you for this AnHerbGardener.  Frightening stuff!  Here's more on Google diagnosing depression by Jon Rappoport, Investigative Journalist, found in my inbox today:

https://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2017/08/25/google-will-help-diagnose-your-clinical-depression-its-wonderful/

In my work-in-progress, The Underground, here is what I wrote about Google: “They’re clever, I’ll give them that. They’re saying you can search them for any information in the world, but they’re really searching you.”

Google has decided it’s not doing enough to lead us into a better world. So now it’s going to enter the field of psychiatry.

Here is the kicker. Google can do anything it wants to with the information in this article, the one you’re now reading. It can lower its ranking.

Google can control the flow of information.

Given that Google has that kind of power, I strongly suggest caution when it touts its own “depression questionnaire.”

It’s not only rigging the system, it is the system.

Recently I was at the doctor's for routine check-up and right under the standard information form was a "mental health check-up" form.  Scan to the bottom..."created by a team of doctors funded by Pfizer."  And now we're going to the next level...unconscionable.

This is awful to read about. There need to be more alternative methods than PILLS, PILLS, PILLS. Unfortunately, a lot of these methods are expensive, but medical, with insurance is not. So or course they can only offer pills. When will our world change?

Jon Rappoport is "out there" on many questions like zika and fluoride.  But I have to admit, his concern about google is justified.  I would never fill out a questionnaire on google.  They know enough about me already based on my searches.  We should all learn to use alternative search engines like DuckDuckGo and others.

Thank you Photobug and Nightwatch for these alternative search engines.  I installed the DuckDuckGo.  Didn't know these even existed.  This is a good step in the right direction.

Agree, Jon Rappoport can get a little "out there" on some topics.
