Hello everyone, I was on issr and xanax for about 4 month only and developped heavy withdrawal symptoms. Is there other buddies that have to deal with this hell as they've been short Time users too. I seek for other stories ... :) my symptoms so far at 2 months off are depression, anxiety, allergy to any stress, kind of brain fog cant explain, fatigue, muscle weakness... And many little Others... I would like to know others stories of short time users to understand that is not coming only from me please.

Hi my friend

I am very short term user...14 days of .5 mg klonopin daily.

After cold turkey i have experienced severe symptoms like you for about 5 months..

Ataxia ( balance issue)

Muscle weakness in the mornings and during yawnings

Muscle twitching non stop

Fatigue

Shortness of breath

Muscle and joint pain in shoulders and fingers

Budy tremor

Severe hand shaking

Some of these symptoms disapeared but muscle weakness, balance issue and muscle twitching in arm and chest dont go away. :tickedoff:

Hi Yong,

You are not alone, there are many short time users who are affected with the same w/d symptoms. Unfortunately I also did not realize I was in w/d as I never took K on a regular basis but because of the long half life I had more k in my system than I realized. When the Dr could not figure out why I had so much anxiety and panic she put me on a AD so now i gong to have to wean myself off of that drug as well very soon.  I had and still have waves of anxiety and akathisia but it is so much better and can be managed with good relaxation skills including guided meditation. I had really bad jello legs, head pressure, jerking spasms, skin burning, loss of appetite, mild depression, brain fog, health phobias, tinnitus, scared to be alone, brain zaps and memory loss. I was so shocked that I had all this going on from taking this medication for a short period of time. My Dr had a hard time believing that it could be causing all these issues and she sent me for an MRI and other tests that all came back negative.

Good news is that for a small wave that I am experiencing currently I have been almost symptom free for a few months and I am back to living my life with a new appreciation for the little things. I just got back from a 10 day trip with my family.  I will be 10 months off in September.

Take Care :smitten:

Short term user here.  I was taking Xanax for 2 months averaging .75 per day.  I tapered down to .375 for 3 days and then jumped.  First week was tough.  Lots of physical symptoms from withdrawal.  Shaking, internal tremors, headaches, muscle aches.  Also lots of nervousness and anxiety.  However, it wasn't impossible to get through.  This is my second week with no Xanax and so far my physical symptoms have subsided.  Now it's just some anxiety and nervousness mostly in the mornings.

I used Ativan as needed for 2 weeks. Probably 1.5 mg daily. At 2 weeks I decided to quit taking it to see if I could sleep without it. 2 days later I was dizzy, smelling things weird, and having bad mental thoughts. I looked up Ativan nrvause itvwas the only thing that changed. That was when I learned that it was I think called a highly addictive schedule something.

Two days later I got black depression. I was home alone with my daughter. I ended up taking a pinch of one and within minutes felt better. That week I took pieces of it and then that weekend quit. I then got black depression, obsessions, band around head, bad ear pressure, body weakness, headaches, insomnia, loss of appetite, and more.

It's been since March and I still have this feeling of not being myself, obsessiveness, still don't sleep through the night, some nights I have had to pee all night, irregular menstrual cycle.

The worry of not knowing if this is still from Ativan.

Thanks for your answers all,

Do you also have or had a total weakness and impossibility to do anything ? And also when you have or had even minor Stress issues you be paralized for hours after ?

When something stresses me I cant walk I feel weak, very anxious ... Do you have the same thing ?

I would say at 2.5 month out l'm only 15% better
