Hi I have come to this site with 16 years of experience on many different psychiatric drugs.

 

I am new here and have just failed at a taper off aripiprazole. Which I know is an anti - psychotic.

 

I hope you will accept me, and I'd like to share my experience and stories of my treatment.

 

Currently, I am on an anti - depressant, 100mg, sertraline, aripiprazole, 10mg, propranolol,20mg.

 

It is my hope and dream to come off my pills and has been now for 5 years, I will never stop hoping and dreaming to come off, because it is what I want for me, to get my life back.

 

I am 35, I have been under the yoke of mental health since I was 19. I do feel it has robbed me of my life.

 

I would love to support and give moral support to people. I am currently not tapering off after my last mis-adventure trying!

 

Please give me a chance to express myself, i ve been a big fan and a long time reader of beyondmeds and Peter Breggin.

Welcome to Benzo Buddies. I'm sorry you've been on a merry go round of medications from the time you were very young. While we a primarily a benzo withdrawal support forum, you will most likely find others who are on the same drugs that you take and can receive support if you decide to try to taper once again.

 

Many of us have had "mis-adventures" tapering. That is why this forum is so valuable. People here really understand the withdrawal process and can offer information and encouragement.
