Hello, I am new to this group.  I started a taper from 30mg daily of Valium approximately 6 months ago and took my last 1 mg tablet on 8/11, so I am 11 days into withdrawals.  I have been on Valium for approximately 8 years as prescribed by my physician for irritability experienced with chronic severe low back pain.  I am having a host of withdrawal symptoms that I was not prepared for and found this site on a web search.  I hope we can help each other through this hell.

You're in good company here - most of us were not even close to being prepared for this crazy benzo funhouse ride. The awful withdrawal symptoms you're experiencing are common during recovery, but they do ease up over time.
