ADHD, OCD or Both?

Now a question has arisen that is really making me worried.

I've always had a hard time concentrating. I've never been a very organized person and I'm also very well off.

Is it possible that I have ADHD in comorbidity with OCD? Or is this just OCD? How much of this can impair the CBT treatment I'm doing for OCD?

I have a good insight, but i cant stop this fucking obsessive thoughts!

Nobody's going to know the answers to these questions, but my guess is that obsessive thoughts have got their grip on you at the moment.  We all ( or mostly all)  have these obsessive thoughts, but until one is fairly well out of recovery from using a benzodiazepine, when or if this will go away.

Even pre-existing conditions can disappear after healing, although the 'never been a very organized person' is probably still there, and not indicative of OCD, in my opinion.

I had only one theme. Now it seems that I have several themes that I did not even worry about before.

It's scary.

I'm not on benzo withdrawal, but lyrica withdrawal

It's highly unlikely you have ADHD. That's like a typical withdrawal symptom to be honest. So don't jump on the Ritalin train as of yet.

About the OCD. Everybody has OCD to some degree. This is what society does to you. There would be no OCD if you were living with a tribe in the Brazilian rain-forest believe me, it would clear up after just a few days, doesn't matter how bad it would be.

If you really want to get some good insight about OCD you should google and look into what "Derek Soto" has to say on it. It will be a whole new revelation and different viewpoint for you on the subject. No drugs needed. OCD is an addiction of the mind. He helped me a lot.

I've always been very disconnected, kind of forgetful of everything. At school, I could never pay attention, not even in college. I'm afraid this is disrupting my treatment with OCD

For me, it really helped to look at mental health from a different perspective.  ADHD, PTSD, OCD, MDD, GAD, SAD...they're all just words--vague categories doctors use to prescribe drugs.  The DSM-V is as thick as a dictionary...and literally everyone can be classified something.  We've been living in a society that brainwashed us to believe that these conditions...anxiety, depression, brain fog..whatever, are just like the flu or a rash and can be healed with the ever-expanding array of pharms.  It's just not true.  Countries like Peru don't have these terms nor the legal drugs our doctors convince us we need.  Sure, you'll probably be more focused with adderall but so is EVERYONE.  ADHD is a personality diagnosis, not a disability.  Stop thinking about which acronym best describes you and ask yourself if you absolutely need drugs to function in life.  These drugs have only been around for .0001% of human existence and before they were produced in mass, there was no such thing as ADHD.  Are they really making our lives better?  The stats are pretty strongly indicative that they aren't.

A psychiatrist would say I have PTSD, MDD, GAD, SAD, and OCD.  If I was more worried about productivity, I'd probably have an ADD diagnosis too, but ever since I started getting treated for these things, life got worse.  Klonopin withdrawal was the worst, but so many other chemicals have messed up the natural balance in my brain that I don't know if I'll ever be the same.

This is just my perspective on the whole thing.  I am admittedly jaded about our pharmaceutical policy.  I thinknow what the system is doing to turn a profit is inherently wrong, and for some, a crime against humanity.  Getting people addicted to opiates or benzos, if you know that's what will happen with a 2 or 3 month script, is straight up evil.  When you think of things from an financial perspective and consider the possibility that money is more important than your health to most people, what they're doing becomes obvious.  I only hope that one day karma does its job.
