:( Sometimes, after having tapered and DC my AD and still in BWD, I need some normal dopamine and oxytocin... :( but it's just out of reach.... :'( even alone....  :-[ Why does BWD have to take EVERYTHING from us?  :-\ My brain hurts.... :stretcher:

I've been struggling lately with the fact that benzos take away so much too.  Can't do the physical things I used to enjoy like surf, snowboard, bike ride, go on hikes, so it would be nice to have something like sex to fall back on but nope.  Most people say it comes back, but when is the question.  Someday it will all be over and we can go back to doing the little things most people take for granted in life.

Thanks for your response Burfm. Wow, you were so active in sports. I'm sure it will all come back to you in time. I understand completely. Right now, I can barely walk much less do anything that I used to which required coordination and agility. Even standing on one foot to put pants or shoes on, or the agility needed to shower is sorely lacking. I look and feel as if I've gone from 30 years old to 90 in such a short period of time.... I'm greatly anticipating my healing and wanting to feel like my old self again. As far as I'm concerned, since I haven't even jumped yet, it can't be soon enough. I hope that healing happens quickly for you too. ♡

I actually used to be really into fitness and did personal training.  Not bragging but just trying to make the point that it hurts even more that I went from super healthy and happy guy in his mid 20's to a person that hardly leaves the house and gets nauseous when I do the slightest amount of physical activity.  Sometimes I think the same thing that this must feel what it's like to be 90, but I'm sure 90 yr olds are better off than this!  And the mental anguish is something nobody should ever have to go through.  You'll get back to who you were with time.  Looks like you've come quite a ways already.  From your signature it looks like you're on 2mg of Valium?  That's pretty much the home stretch.  A lot of people say they feel better once they get off the drug even though they're having withdrawals, and that the taper was the hardest part.
