Relative/Tolerance Withdrawal

I'm trying to understand this concept more.

I have severe symptoms that are listed under benzo withdrawal. My main issues are visual with light sensitivity being the worst.

I would really appreciate some people to help me understand if this is possible due to tolerance. I've been on the same dosage of lorazepam for nearly 2 years.

My light sensitivity (and sudden audio) is insane, even with eyes shut and curtains drawn...

It is fairly common, and worst when im tapering too fast...

So yes, it could be tolerance, if your not tapering, or WD, if you are...

Some wear dark glasses inside, and an eye mask to sleep...

I appreciate your response. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Yeah I have to wear dark glasses even in dim light in order to not feel dizzy and completely awful with brain fog. I also have been using a sleep mask to sleep. It's not a fun way to live.

I also have sound sensitivity and strange visual disturbances, like visual snow. It's disturbing.

Not sure of your situation... But the best advice I can give is to slow up your taper or even hold a bit... let your healing catch up with current medication intake a bit..??

-Well it works great for me anyway...

A sig would be great if you can... -profile/Forum Profile... then Change profile, to finnish...

Cheers..

Hello DexterWhite,

You can find very useful info on this thread: http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=9706.msg681953#msg681953

Yes, it is very much possible that after such a long time on the lorazepam (benzos should be used for 2-4 weeks max really), that tolerance hits and you start to experience W/D symptoms even on the full dose. Happened to Magrita, she posted her succes story: http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=46090.msg625231#msg625231

Happened to me too, I was in W/D for two months already until I realsed what was happening. But, I don't have a succes story yet, as I started my taper not long ago.

Hang in there, hope this helps, good luck!
