CAN I JUMP FROM 12.5mg ZOLOLFT WHILE TAPERING VALIUM?

Hi,

I'm at 7.5mg of Valium right now (2.5mg am and 5mg pm). My doctor gave me 7.5mg of Mirtazapine ((Remeron) for sleep a few days ago. Thank God I am sleeping the night great.

25mg Zoloft started 6/15/17. I jumped to half the pill (12.5mg) 8/10/17. Can I just stop it now or wait a bit until I take Remeron for a week or so.

I'm finally down from 600mg of Gabapentin to 100mg which I take 50/50 in liquid form. Want to wean that too, but I've been holding at that dose since April.

I have chronic pain and at this point, I don't know what a symptom is or what a side effect is. I weaned and stopped Oxycodone July 23rd. Tried KRATOM 5 days ( the worst experience), feel somewhat stable now until about 3:00-4:00pm when my intense pain begins after PT, walking or swimming.

Thanks.

I dropped 200 mg easy without help on Zoloft. You should bee fine with that dose.

:)  Hi there, even though 12,5 is an incredible low dose of Zoloft it's best to leave things as they are for now and to taper one drug at a time. You are feeling somewhat stable now so maybe best tackling the Valium first and keep things steady. You don't want to get into double or triple withdrawals at this point and mess up. 12,5 mg of Zoloft could still do something for you but why taking the risk of dropping it at this point if you are currently tapering from Valium which is already hard enough as it is once below 10 or 5 mg.    :-\

I'm at .25 X 3 day . I am stable at this dose. I went CT on three mg and lost my marbles. They were even dropping my gabapentin too fast. So I talked my dad into helping get my refill and stuck it out for three months until I reinstated. I tell you what. I'm more thankful I di that and moved back to Oklahoma where I can do a slow taper than run the risk of never being the same again.

When I was yanked off 200 mg of zoloft I was on .5 once a day. So that prolly took care of the withdrawals so yes you may want to take it slow.

Terrific post. How I can relate and agree on that one. My first taper from Valium was almost withdrawal free, like a walk through the park. I just did the Ashton methode and jumped at 1 mg. Sure I was scared and nervous, I'm not gonna lie to ya but it wasn't anything bad at all, just almost no withdrawals. Now just dropping 1 mg on my 4th or 5th attempt is just like horrific. I have withdrawal symptoms I never had the first time. I been off for about 2,5 years but reinstated. Foolish mistake ! Talking about losing my marbles here. On my second or 3rd attempt (can't quite remember anymore because there were so many) I got to 4 mg of Valium and when I tried to make the cut to 3 mg I "lost my marbles" too and all hell broke lose, nice expression by the way ...

About the 75 mg of Zoloft I'm on. I just don't trust it with my life ! I'm going on a limb here that Zoloft is the root of all my trouble, anxiety, nervousness and insomnia in the first place. My pupils are much too large too. I hate it when an SSRI does that to me. I can only imagine how it would be if I was on 200 mg of Zoloft. That would be a good one !      :o

Do you have BP I or II? Because SSRI's are crazy about triggering bipolar. Dilated pupils means you are in some type of mania.

Also when I was yanked off klonopin 3 mg one pupil was bigger than the other so I know some thing with my brain was going on.
