Had anyone tried clonodine?  My dr. Is talking about it to calm things down, especially my gut
Posted

Yes. I was put on 0.2mg four times a day in rehab in January.  It was aweful because I was taken off essentially 2mg of Klonopin and put on a 17 day phenobarbital taper.

I kept taking the clonadine four times a day for two months, then twice a day for two months and now I take 0.2mg only at night and not every night to help settle things down.  It lowers my blood pressure and slows my heart rate down from 90-100 usually into the 80's.

Try sleeping with your heart beating 115 beats a minute. It's impossible.  You have to find something to manage some of the physical symptoms.

Clonadine isn't a silver bullet,  but it can help.

I had that during my detox. It settles the system, but IMO no better than a regular beta blocker.
