anyone who got their hair back?

about hair loss, has any of you had your hair back or at least in stable growth - I mean - the hair has stopped falling? How long did it take after withdrawal? Mine is getting thin and falling, and I did not realize back then in my mid 20s that one of the reasons my hair was falling like crazy was due to the psych meds (at that time I was still consuming psych meds, not even withdrawing yet).

Yes, my hair thinned during my first several months off and then slowly grew back.  This happens to many members, and it almost always does grow back.

I also want to add that, before I withdraw, I used to have lots of gray hair. Now I almost don't have gray hair anymore. I'm sure a lot of you have also experienced this already, so I just want to say that yes, it is true, I've proven it to myself that if you have lots of gray hairs because of these inhuman psych drugs, you will gain your natural hair color back in time.

 

I hope I can share my other improvements in many areas that I'm yet to experience as my healing progresses.

 

And yes, time DOES heal!

Thanks for posting this exbenzo. This has been a very distressing symptom for me. I don't feel like mine is growing back yet but it doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Mine started falling out before tapering (psych meds and high dose xanax) and got worse the first year of my taper.  The hair on my arms even fell out - completely.  Things turned around last summer after a long hold and slowing my taper.  I noticed the hair coming back on my arms and my head hair was no longer falling out.  It was one of the first signs that I was healing.  Back now to a thick head of hair and have not had any issue post-taper.

I was afraid to take a shower!  I got all kinds of conditioners/detanglers!  UGH!  Hair was falling out all over the place.  Thought I'd need a wig.
