Using Stimulants to combat mental fatigue and cog fog, is it a good idea?

I'm almost 17 months off and considering using Stimulants, such as; Adderall, Concerta, or Provigil/Nuvigil to combat Lathergy, Mental Fatigue and cog fog, is this a good idea?

Thanks

Why would you throw that at a fragile CNS?  I do see where you used those stimulants before-why did you quit?

Hope I didn't offend-I just don't understand.  Best of Luck whatever your decision.

Many withdrawal symptoms are due to the fact that our CNS is in overdrive and overexcited.  This is why many people can't tolerate caffeine in withdrawal, because it is a stimulant and makes things worse.  Most likely, if you took a stimulant, it would kick up your withdrawal symptoms in other ways, and could cause quite a bit of a setback.

Yes I did use these stimulants before and I quit them because during my tapering and early withdrawal I couldn't tolerate even green tea because it contains a minimum amount of caffeine so I said to myself if I couldn't tolerate few mg of caffeine then don't even dream about using these powerful stimulants (Adderall, provigil, etc)

However, nowadays I can gulp up to 5 cups of strong coffee per day and don't get that bad reaction!

It's just that lathergy, mental fatigue and cogfog are killing me most of the time and few months ago I started a full-time job because I really need the money to support myself afer being so broke and so sick during my tapering and withdrawal. So I need to work and I need to do better at my job and how can I better my performance at work when these symptoms are crippling me? I'm really in a bad shape at work!

I understand the need to work and support oneself-hands down.  I understand how important it is to be sharp at work so we don't risk losing your job.  But I don't understand doing anything which may threaten the Benzo CNS system.  I wouldn't want to thrown into a worse withdrawal.  Just my two cents.  I hope you find the balance.

It's a hard situation I have been put in, but I will abide by your advice and not use stimulants no matter what happens, because it is really not worth it compromising my already compromised CNS!

Thanks for the advice.

Had a massive wave of dp/dr and vision problems at 12 months off from taking adderall.  Lasted six weeks.  I'd say don't try it.  Not worth it,  just a temp fix anyway. It may not bother you the first few times you take it but I'd bet sooner or later it will catch up with you and set off your cns or whatever it sets off, and when it does it will be hell.

Thanks for the feedback on stimulants use.
