Hi!  I am now 7 weeks off all psych meds and am still having chronic insomnia, burning, tingling, numbness, vibrations throughout body and head, heart palpitations, adrenaline surges, myoclonic jerks, blurry vision, hearing difficulties, dp/dr, feel like I am losing my mind etc.

The burning and chronic insomnia r so intense most of the time.  For the past couple of days I have had a window where the symptoms were less intense and I was able 2 get some sleep.  However, it appears that after a couple of days all the symptoms come back with a vengeance making it almost totally impossible 2 do much of anything and making me believe this will never get any better.

Over the past 3 years I have done a slow taper off Gabapentin, Zoplicone, Seroquel and Remeron in that order.  Ever since being off Remeron (the last one 4 3 weeks), I have felt my symptoms have gotten steadily worse.  Is this normal and does anyone else have all these horrendous symptoms at this point in their w/d.

I am really struggling and want 2 get better.  However, at 63 years of age, I don't know how much more of this my body and mind can tolerate without going totally insane or dropping dead at any moment.

I am currently working with an excellent herbalist who is caring, supportive, understanding and very knowledgeable about these drugs and what they can do to us.  Unfortunately, he has been away 4 the months of July and August and won't b back 4 another couple of weeks.  I have been taking the herbs faithfully but they don't seem 2 b doing much 2 help with what I am going through.  I have also been using some medical marijuana sparingly but nothing seems 2 help with these horrendous w/d symptoms.

Please, I am really desperate to hear that others have gone through similar if not the same symptoms and have recovered from this.  I am feeling totally alone and terrified.

Sorry I can't give you to much support I'm 15 months out and still have the burning head scalp but some days is less intense.

I hope for you will not take this long time to get better.

You will heal.

I had this and it is almost all gone.

I found baths and "hydrotherapy" really helps. That is, taking a hot shower, then turning the water cold, and vice versa. or doing this a bath, with epson salt. Once I realized this I couldn't believe the impact it made.

Now I also visit a sauna. After the sauna I get into a cold shower, right on my skull... I have migraines that have dissapeared instantly doing this.

Please consider trying this!

Hi!  I have tried the Epsom salt baths and due 2 the fact I have Lyme Disease, Bartonella and Babesia it tends 2 make me much worse and I have really bad herxheimer reactions (die-of) of the Lyme Disease and co's. It appears that at the present time no matter what I do or eat everything makes me feel worse.  I am terrified 2 even eat anything anymore.  I have lost all interest in life as I feel there is no hope 4 me and that I might have permanently damaged my brain with these horrendous poisons.  I have been going through this 4 so long and my body and mind r totally exhausted from trying 2 figure things out.

I am fighting so hard 2 recover, yet I just seem 2 get worse.  I am all alone here and just don't know where 2 go from here.  Please help.
