Help, Clonazepam updose after floxed produces bad effects

Recommended Posts

Updose after being floxed, added .25 for 10 days, was on 3mg/day. Now have headaches, feel pressure in forehead, weak legs, fast HR with any exertion, miserable. Anyone else have this problem after an up dose? Or could it be the return of the sinusitis they floxed me for?

The issue with quinolones is they interfere with the benzo binding to the receptor site.  Increasing the dose isn't going to help because the benzo can't bind to the GABA receptor.

It's been 2 weeks since flowed.  Does it usually take this long to return to "normal"?

It can take some time. Yes. You should never have been given a flouroquinolone while tapering. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk more. I'm, sadly, a bit of an expert on floxing.
