Does healing and recovery always occur in windows and waves?

Does recovery always follow this pattern or is it sometimes gradual with no looking back? Is spontaneous recovery even possible?

Million dollar question. I was told both options are possible. Personally I've experienced a very gradual improvement, but hope one day I will get a big brain zap and all symptoms will go....

Lol @ the electrical outlet as I have contemplated that too. I was sitting outside the other day when a storm was rolling in thinking to myself if I got struck by lightning then maybe it would reset my brain. Yeah it's that bad It's hard knowing it's not linear esp when you haven't even had any Windows yet!
