My husband passed away last weekend

Early last Sunday I found that my husband had passed away in his sleep after spending a nice last day together. It was sudden and excruciatingly painful  for me and just days before my jump. People have been wonderful and supportive. We had a beautiful celebration of his life last night.

God gave me strength to get thru most of the service, the line was long to give me hugs and I didn't quite make it thru all of it. There have been a constant flow of visitors and incredible stress.

Still I have not had to take a rescue dose and have stayed the course. I have been able to do many thing I'd never imagined. You can too.

Thanks for being here, bbuddies.

Rough I am so sorry for your loss. I am so happy that you had a good day together, I am sure that and many other memories will be with you as the days go by. I do not have a Partner, but I have lost My Parents and a beloved Brother and Aunt and Uncle, but losing a loved one is always hard. We just never know what a new day will bring ever. I am glad you are surrounded with Friends and Family. Take your time and grief and do what you can to stay strong during this time. I will be thinking of you all day today and going forward, it puts Life in perspective. Sending you silent hugs. BG

I am so sorry for your unimaginable loss roughride.

I know that words can't really do much other than attempt to soothe at a time like this with the grief that you feel.

And I trust that the support of all who are around you and the many buddies here will bolster you now and in the time to come.  This is truly a test of fire for the incredible strength you have shown with your taper.

Please continue to check in with us here when it is right for you to do so, and take very good care of yourself.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that the last day together was wonderful, however, it doesn't take away from the shock and grief you are feeling.

You are an amazingly strong person,  but take time to be kind and gentle with yourself.

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss, benzo withdrawal is hard enough without deeply painful personal issues getting in the way. Grief is a process and I am so happy to know you are a person with faith because I know that will help you deal with this loss and heal.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am also 65 and my husband is 69. Going through a crisis in my fragile tapering state is one of my biggest fears.  You are a STRONG woman.  Good that you didn't need that rescue dose.  I assume you are still on Valium. .07 mg. If you haven't made the "jump" yet, you may consider holding off for a month or two.

Take care of your self, keep surrounded by people.  Feel free to pm me any time, as I am the same age ad also a long time user.

God bless you!

Thank you everyone. I am struggling today with dizziness vision disturbances and insomnia most of the week. Every time I try to deal with something related to his death I am overwhelmed with feeling strange. I feel "heavy".  Have people staying the night this week but alone during the day.

Marja2 it's only 7 milliliter (3.5 as of today) out of I guess it would be 250 if you liquified the full dose I took so kind of silly tobe taking it at all I guess. Thanks for caring.
