Loss of motivation

Anybody else experience this during withdrawal? Could it be the Valium? Thanks

Yes, I have experienced major loss of motivation, mostly because I feel like shit all of the time. I think if my body felt better, I could focus on things that I want to do rather than quelling the withdrawal symptoms, or just waiting them out. I'm sorry you are going through this! I am too.

Yes, It is very benzo, -Valium even...

Way worse than my other medication taper...

When you have a window you will understand... Its like an instant new life... -then sadly its gone... lol

Big time!  Since being on Valium I have to kick myself in the ass to do anything, and at times it takes everything in me to do some of the most simple things like take a shower.  I hardly leave the house either.  Not because I can't but because I don't really care to do anything.  I used to just be on opiates and they didn't kill motivation the way that benzos do.

You will feel bad until you are healed. Just less of the symptoms. I had horrible pain from head to toe, no memory, jerking limbs, etc. It takes time and there are no short cuts to healing. The less you tax your brain the better you will be. Less stress also.

YES, I feel your pain.  I use to lift weights 5 days per week.  I have only been to the gym once in the past 30 days.  I'm going to force myself to go tomorrow.  I know it will help me feel better.  It's so hard to find motivation to do anything.  I'm spent just trying to make it through work.

Yes! I'm done with the drugs, but my drive is taking it's sweet time coming back. It'll happen eventually.
