What do you do the day after?

I just had my second sleepless night since my jump, and am wondering hat to do today to best mitigate the misery. There are warriors on this forum and I'd love to hear what you do the day after. Thanks.

I would get up, get breakfast and then walk and try to keep myself busy as much as I could. I found that after 2 or 3 sleepless nights I would take some zeequil and have a really good nights sleep but the zeequil made me feel hung over so I tried to use it as little as possible, Benadryl and unisom were of no help to me as I still got little sleep and had the hangover the next day.

Good luck and remember you will get back to normal some time in the future.

The most important thing is to not dwell on it too much. I find that I feel much better if I get out of the house, get some fresh air and stay busy. It's very tempting to drink coffee, but I avoid it as I believe it compounds the problem.

During the morning, I can do pretty well, but I know that by about 2 PM I am going to pretty much be a zombie, so I plan my day accordingly. Get work done early so you can get home and rest if at all possible. Plan work for the afternoon that is low key and not draining. Keep socializing to a minimum if you can.

I also avoid talking to people about it--they just freak out and make me feel worse, like I really am messed up, and I don't need that. If I need an excuse, a vague "I didn't sleep well last night" is sufficient. I try and keep a positive attitude--"I will do better tonight"!
