Uncomfortable...but better

I'm newly off benzos, and have many of the symptoms that people here post about. The main thing that keeps me going is this feeling that I'm functioning better and am more alert, attentive, and creative--even though I'm often miserable--than I was when I was on benzos.

 

The kicker: I had a sleepless night several nights ago, and I was better able to converse the next day--i even had more energy--than on a normal day w/2mg of Ativan.

 

It's wonderful and terrible to be off benzos, but the wonderful is winning.

Welcome to the other side! That's great that you are already noticing improved functioning in some areas. These benzos do make your mind slow and stupid while you're on them.

Wow that's amazing that you are already starting to feel a little better!!! I am 2 months off and still in the terrible not yet experiencing the wonderful but hopefully soon! I hope you continue to get better with each day that passes
